Colleen - Co Chair
Hi I am Colleen – I am 34 years old and have been married for 7 years.  I am a Trustee for Pioneer Rural Electric, the first woman on the board.  I am also on the Farm Service Agency County Committee as an advisor.  My husband and I own Eidemiller Insulation and Home Improvements. We also have a grain farm.  We recently retired from the ostrich business after 15 years. By trade I am a licensed Barber and licensed Cosmetologist.   I have done some fundraising in the last couple of years.  The last one was with my great friend Danika with her Leukemia Lymphoma Society fundraiser helping her raise over $10,000.00 for a great cause.  At that point I caught the bug for fundraising which is what got me to where I am today with the Pink Ladies.  I am very excited and pleased to be a Co-Chair with Jill for The Pink Ladies.  We are fighting for a great cause and I look forward to our challenge of reaching our goal of $15,
000.00

Jill - Co Chair
Hi, I’m Jill, 29, from Troy, Ohio. Thank you all for taking an interest in finding out what our team is all about.  I am a graduate of The Ohio State University.  GO BUCKS!!!!  I am currently working for Beck’s Hybrids as a District Sales Manager in the West Central Ohio area.  I am engaged to a wonderful man named Eric and we are to be married on September 8 of this year.  With all the craziness of wedding plans one would think that it would be hard for me to find the time to do anything other than that.  Well, I live my life believing that if I am doing something that will truly make a difference in someone else’s life that there is always time to fit everything in.  I caught the fundraising bug last spring when I assisted one of my closest friends (Danika) with a fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  Together Danika, Colleen and I along with the help of everyone else on our fundraiser team managed to earn over $10,000.  With that in mind we chose to continue our fundraising efforts this year with a new charity.  Having been touched by cancer so often in my life and with having my Aunt Sue currently fighting breast cancer I suggested that we raise money to fight a disease that could affect any one of us.  This cause is very dear to me and I look forward to working hard to achieve our goal of $15,000.  Please join us in our fight to irradiate this terrible disease.  Join us on October 20, 2007 for a car cruise in and a sock hop.  It will be a great time and all for a good cause.  Thank you in advance for your support!

Danika
Hi my name is Danika, a 28 year old living in Troy, Ohio.  I am a graduate  of Wright State University with my Bachelors of Science in Financial Services.  I am currently employed by U.S. Bank, N.A. as a Loan Administrator in Commercial Real Estate. Cancer is a disease I have been affected by one to many times.  When I was about 2 years old I lost my Grandmother to Ovarian Cancer.  I know she put up quite the fight but unfortunately was taken before I got the chance to know her.  Then at the age of 15 someone very special to me lost their battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.  This person was my Father.  I am definitely what most people would say “a Daddy’s girl”.  My Dad and I were together all of the time.  He coached me in all athletic sports I participated in until I got to Junior High and High School.  I still to this day, almost 13 years later, don’t feel that I have totally grieved the loss of him.  There are many days I can talk about him and not shed a single tear, but more days then not I get very emotional.  I truly miss him and wish that he was here to see what accomplishments I have made since he has been gone. In 2006 I was nominated to be a Candidate for the 2006 Man and Woman of the Year Award for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  All Candidates were given 9 weeks to raise as much money for the Society.  At the end of the 9 weeks the Man and Woman that raised the most funds was presented with the Title.  Unfortunately I was not the Woman who raised the most funds, but let me tell you. I raised way more then I ever  expected.  Without the help of my closest friends and my family it never would have been possible.  I raised a little over $10,000.00 in the 9 weeks. Once you experience something like this you just don’t get it out of your system.  Two of the ladies (Jill and Colleen) that were momentous in my achievements came to me at the end of last year and expressed their interest in doing another fundraiser.  I told them to count me in.  This is a very rewarding process for me to know that I can give to an organization that may someday help cure one of my friends or family members. We are one heck of a group and are dedicated to helping fund the fight for a cure!

Hi, I am 61 years old. I have been married for 42 years. I have two daughters: Colleen and Babs. I have two grand-daughters: Courtney and Kirstin. I love to quilt, crochet and knit. I have just started quilting a couple years ago.  It is a lot of fun. I was born in Wisconsin, raised in Colorado and now reside in Sidney, Ohio. I really like working and visiting with the pink ladies. They are all a lot of fun and they are hard workers. I am looking forward to retiring next year the beginning of March. Then I can work on my new quilting hobby.

I am 28 years old and live in Piqua, OH. I am married and have a wonderful daughter, Bailee and a step-daughter named Shelby. My husband, Andy, and I are also expecting a new addition to our family in February 2008. I am a graduate of the The Ohio State University and am currently employed as a Deductions Analyst. Although I have been blessed so far to not have any close members of my family affected by breast cancer, I have many close friends who aren't so lucky. Let's all work together to help those affected by this horrible disease now, and for future generations, fight this battle!!

P.S. "Go Bucks!!"

I am 31, residing in the New Carlisle area.  I have an associates degree in Art. I am currently working in Springfield.  I enjoy creating and designing signs as well as for creating and designing for The Pink Ladies.  I was given the opportunity to use my ability to get the message in print, that we need to find a cure for breast cancer.  I am currently designing t-shirts for our organization.  working with these men and women has been a rewarding experience, not just for the fact we are making a difference but for the friendships I have made along the way.  Charity work is extremely rewarding and I am proud to be a Pink Lady and to be a breast cancer research supporter.
